Our 2020 VASCD LEADERSHIP AWARD recipient is Kate Maxlow,

Director of Innovation and Professional Learning in Hampton.

Each year VASCD recognizes an outstanding educational leader who exemplifies the best qualities of learning, teaching and leading It is a person who not only demonstrates true understanding of curriculum, assessment, and instruction and how each component influences the whole learning experience for students but has also influenced other educators to improve their teaching and learning. Ms. Carrie Linebaugh, Teacher of Mathematics and Special Education at Liberty High School in Fauquier County.

Mr. John Merritt, Literacy Coach at Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach City Schools.

Ms. Kristie Thomas, Reading Coach at Bowling Green Elementary in Caroline County.
