It is impossible to list the tasks teachers do and the decisions they make each day. In the context of today’s expectations and challenges, teachers feel compelled to work in ways that are not healthy or sustainable. How do we reduce this fatigue and shift from “everything is important” to actual priorities? Recognizing what teachers face and building capacity through minimalism can refocus attention on the essentials and help skilled educators remain in the profession.

In this session, ASCD author Tammy Musiowsky- Borneman will share ideas about minimalism in education, clarify why it’s necessary, and explore related practices that apply specifically to teaching life.

Attend the all-day session in person in Roanoke (Holiday Inn at Tanglewood, 4468 Starkey Road) on February 22, or attend the abbreviated one-hour webinar on February 24 at 4:00.
